Social networking sites and virtual worlds in the meetings and events industry – should you be using them?
With 110 million registered users, if MySpace were a country, it would be the 11th largest in the world between Japan and Mexico! Social networking and sites such as Second Life are increasingly being used in the business world and more importantly, in the meetings and events industry. When events are reduced to their most essential element, they are about bringing people together. Online social software to develop communities is a natural addition to face-to-face meetings but are they a welcome addition?
Make sure you take part in EIBTM’s third technology debate which promises to be both lively and informative.
During this session there will also be an interactive voting poll: Voting Pads provided by Spotme |
