Marketing Entrepeneur Ruud Janssen (1970) has been a practitioner of Marketing in the Hospitality and Meetings & Events Industry over the past 18 years. He owns and manages ©TNOC, an unconventional marketing collective specialized in new media applications for live, hybrid and virtual events. He is the founder and curator or TEDx events in Basel, Switzerland and Event Camp Europe and recently launched an inspirational blog for foodies and event managers around slowfood concepts for meetings & events from across the globe. 

He has held senior management positions in Hospitality, Professional Conference Organising and Association Management Companies with Renaissance, Steigenberger, Elior and Congrex Group as well as serving as President for MPI, Meeting Professional International in the Netherlands and as a director on the International Board of Directors for MPI , the Meeting Support Institute and Project Meeting Architecture.

With a background in hospitality marketing from the Hotel Management School Maastricht and Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, he currently  facilitates training for MPI Global Training in various educational institutions in Switzerland, The Netherlands and Qatar.  In his sessions his insights inspire and energize industry professionals by tapping into first hand experience in operating events from small to large scale Corporate, Government and Association Conferences for 3500 participants in Japan to Informal meetings of the European Union.

Ruud has lived in France, the Philippines, USA, the Netherlands and now lives in Switzerland with his wife and 2 kids. Having lived and worked around the globe he can relate to the everyday challenges faced by professionals when organizing teams and events across complex decision making units for Corporate, Government and Association clients.
