Martin has been CEO of ICCA, the International Congress & Convention Association, since July 2002, and over that time has seen the association grow from 600 to almost 900 companies and organisations in 85 countries worldwide.  Prior to this he enjoyed 13 years in senior sales and marketing positions in a variety of meetings industry related organisations (both private and public sector), after starting his career with 7 years in general tourism destination marketing with the British Tourist Authority (as VisitBritain was then known).  He has lived and worked in Hong Kong, the USA, the UK, and now lives with his wife and son in Amsterdam where ICCA has been headquartered for the last four decades.
