1. A brief overview / description of what your product or service is.
Pathable brings people together with an online community and social network for your conference or event-taking your content from a few days to a year-round community. In a private, branded community, attendees, exhibitors and speakers alike can network through robust tools like a mobile web application, a rich recommendation system, interest-based discussion groups, scheduling tools, interactive floor map and more.
Event organizers can increase their ROI through rich reporting capabilities and opportunities to drive up exhibitor and sponsor involvement. Pathable communities facilitate attendee networking months before an event begins, and encourage interaction long after an event is over.
2. How your product / service will meet customer's requirements, fulfil a need or solve a problem
Meeting people is hard, and keeping attendees connected year-round can be even harder. Pathable's easy-to-use, on-line community and social network helps attendees, sponsors and exhibitors meet, communicate and stay connected - 365 days a year. It can also be difficult for event organizers to find ways to “sell” their event to potential exhibitors and sponsors.
Pathable offers unique ways for sponsors to stay top of mind within the event’s community, and exhibitors have a variety of ways to find, connect and schedule time with their target audience. These selling points help our customers increase their event’s ROI.
3. What is unique or innovative about your product?
We offer a comprehensive package that addresses the unique needs of everyone involved in an event. Organizers want their look, feel and branding, and to know that their content is secure. They want ease of use and to understand how to meet the needs of their attendees. They want ways to increase their ROI and bring people back, year after year.
Attendees want to understand who they should be meeting, and how they can make those important connections. They want tools that integrate with the way they already do business, and want to be able to keep important connections going year-round. Exhibitors and sponsors want to find and meet attendees in their target audience, and be easily located online and on the floor. Pathable makes all of this possible.
4. What impact does your product have, or aim to have, on meeting professionals and the meetings/events industry?
The event industry is the original 'social networking platform': humans assembling in a single place, building real business and social relationships. At Pathable, we see our on-line tools as a means to make attendees, sponsors and event organizers more effective at forming and nurturing these genuine connections.
We also recognize that the network of relationships that form at events manifest a community centered on that event, a community that has lasting value to everyone involved. To that end, we seek to create a comfortable on-line space in which the community can continue after the physical event ends.
5. Please provide an outline of the product/service development so far, and how successful this has been:
While we have made small adjustments along the way, we are rolling out our newest product version this fall, and it is our first big service development to date. We are very excited about this product evolution and anticipate that it will be well received.
6. Please give an indication of pricing for using the technology product/service. Be specific as possible
As trite as it sounds, Pathable understands that every event is unique, and we offer a range of packages that work for any event. Packages start at $4740 for an event with up to 500 attendees, and that includes set up, customer support and education.
7. What research have you carried out to establish that there is a need for your product or service?
Before Pathable’s beginnings in 2007, extensive market and demographic research was conducted. And over the past 4 years, we have continued to see an increased need for networking and connectivity tools for both organizers and attendees alike. We see the rising need for our services everywhere: in the feedback we receive from our customers, from the amount of referrals we are given, from event industry publications and social media circles and more.
8. What do you see as being the next stages in the product/service development?
We have a very exciting product update coming out this fall: a completely new, redesigned and rebuilt evolution of our award-winning social networking service for conferences.
These updates will include:
- Year-round customer communities from multiple event communities
-Bringing the full power of an event's social network to all your mobile devices
-Sets new standards for speed and performance (6 - 10x as fast as previous versions)
These updates are based on feedback we have received from past and current customers, as well as from monitoring the ever-changing needs within the events industry.
