Plan Your Appointments & Presentation to Hosted Buyers
Hosted Buyer Appointments
Hosted Buyers at EIBTM 2011 will attend:
- 7 individual Pre-Scheduled Appointments with exhibitors per day
- 1 Destination Presentation per day
Individual Appointments with Hosted Buyers are 20 minutes long and will run between 10.00 and 18.00 on Tuesday and Wednesday and between 10.00 and 17.00 on Thursday.
When the appointments have been matched you will be able to see who has pre-scheduled appointments with you. This can be viewed in your online diary via the Exhibitor Zone on the EIBTM website one month before the exhibition.
Key Points To Help You Prepare For Your Appointments
- You have 20 minutes to make a buyer interested and want to know more about your company
- Try to research the buyers and their organisations before the show and tailor the information that you present them with during the appointment to give them information they need. The web, Linked In and Facebook provide excellent sources of information.
- Make sure you know who is coming for the appointment
- Make sure you are available on your stand
- Ensure your stand personnel are fully briefed and prepared
- Ensure you collect a business card for further communication and follow up
Destination Presentations
Please note destinations with stands of over 18sqm have the opportunity to hold a 'Destination Presentation'.
The Destination Presentations will provide exhibitors with a group of up to 20 buyers that have all specifically requested to attend a presentation about that destination. These presentations are buyer driven so make the most of the pre-show marketing opportunities.
As an Exhibitor you are automatically allowed to take advantage of this opportunity however there is an 'Opt Out' form if you do not wish to present your destination. This form is available in the Exhibitor Zone.
You may have up to three presentations per day and timings are as follows:
- 12.00
- 14.30
- 15.30
Key Points To Help You Prepare For Your Destination Presentation
- Make sure you have an area on your stand big enough to hold presentations to a group of up to 20 buyers
- Present a short informative overview of your destination - if a buyer is interested arrange for them to come back for a one to one meeting
- Try to use visuals to stimulate their imagination - videos, slides, photographs will all demonstrate what your destination has to offer
- You have a unique opportunity to highlight, promote and sell your products and prepare in advance
