Mountaineers of Iceland is a DMC, Destination Management Company, operating adventure tours since 1996, specializing in Super Jeeps and snowmobiles, mainly in the south western part of Iceland.
We offer open day tours, half-day tours and evening tours as well as private tailor made tours for smaller and larger groups, for one, two or more days. We also welcome incentive groups for which we can offer interesting activities, such as snowmobiling, snow-games, cave exploring, river rafting, short hiking, horse-back riding, ATV’s.

Specially built 4-wheel drive vehicles allow us to get to a glacier and other remote areas by the rugged mountain tracks of the highlands, inaccessible by normal cars.
Our Super Jeeps, Ford Econoline, seat 10 people, Ford Excursion seat 6-7 people and Nissan Patrol seat 4-5 people.

We operate snowmobile tours from our two bases on Iceland’s second largest glacier, Langjökull. At Jaki on the western side, we can seat a total of 100 people for lunch or dinner; 50 people in our mountain hut and 50 in the glass house right next to it. At Skálpanes, on the eastern side, we can seat 80 for lunch or dinner in our mountain hut.
We own about 60 snowmobiles and over 300 winter overalls to keep you warm during the snowmobile ride, as well as helmets, over boots and gloves.
