Step forward whoever arranged a week of sunshine and beautifully warm temperatures in Barcelona for the 15,300 industry professionals that attended EIBTM last week. There’s no doubt that these ingredients (particularly for those of Europeans getting ready to bunker down for the winter) coupled with the natural rhythm of the Catalan capital ensured an overwhelmingly positive mood and atmosphere in and out of the exhibition halls.
It’s as if the god’s of Calalunya and Barcelona (no not Messi, Xavi or Iniesta) decided to bestow the perfect conditions in which to conduct business but also to enjoy our time in the city. From the Welcome Party at The Magical Fountains to the beachside setting of Opium Mar for ClubNight, there was a buzz that can only be Barcelona in November.
Even the UK Public Sector strike action on Wednesday 30th failed to spoil the party – the god’s seemingly making border control in and out smoother than ever!!
And what of Messi, Xavi and Iniesta? Well they did manage to put on a show for EIBTM - a 5-0 home win. The god’s did indeed look favourable on Barcelona last week!!
