The city has also been the scene of the regatta „Grandes Veleros“ (formerly known as Cutty Sark) in 2002 and 2007 and the Audi Med Cup in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Alicante was also one of the venues of the EUROBASKET, the European Basketball Championships in 2007. |
